Terms & Conditions

● Volunteers must be 18 years or over
● Volunteers must be in reasonable physical health and willing to carry out activities with physical demands
● Minimum required stay 2 weeks; maximum 6 months
● Volunteers must sign and agree to Askari indemnity policy
● Volunteers must have a reasonable grasp of the English language to receive safety instructions and benefit from the programme
● Volunteers are responsible for all travel to and from the project pick up point
● Volunteers are responsible for ensuring they hold adequate travel and health insurance for their trip
● Volunteers must respect and follow all safety procedures as set out by Askari Wilderness Conservation Programme
● Volunteers are responsible for providing information regarding any medical conditions to Askari and carrying the appropriate medication

PAYMENT DETAILS

● Either full payment or a minimum of 50% deposit is required within 30 days of receiving a provisional booking to confirm a place. Until that amount is paid, the reservation will be treated as provisional and after the 30 day period may be cancelled without notice.
● Should only a deposit be paid, the balance of the invoice total must be paid no later than 30 days prior to arrival.
● Should a reservation be requested within 30 or less of travelling, this will be treated as a provisional reservation. Proof of payment of the full amount is required to secure the booking within 5 days of receiving the provisional invoice.
● Should the pre-payment policy not be met, Askari Wilderness Conservation Programme reserves the right to cancel the reservation without notice.
● Payments should be made by means of an international bank transfer to the Askari head office in South Africa.

CANCELLATIONS

● Cancellations 90 -120 days before arrival date – 10% cancellation fee will be charged
● Cancellation 30 – 90 days before arrival date – the deposit of 50% is forfeited.
● Cancellation 30 days or less – the total reservation fee will be forfeited.
