Askari has been truly a life changing experience that’s made me reflect on my own career and future efforts in conservation. Askari has wonderfully knowledgeable staff and truly work hard to ensure that they have the ecosystem structure and function in mind within all aspects of the work day. From every level of ecology, individual, population and community and how their actions affect the environment. Askari truly cares for the restoration and conservation of the South African bushveld. I would highly recommend this volunteer opportunity for environmentalist students to expand their hard and soft skills here.
